Theo turned her head to glare at him. "What part of no is making things difficult?" she demanded. She glowered at him for a moment, sighed, and shook her head. "C'rin, it's not that I don't trust you- wait, yes it is." She glared again. "I don't trust you!" Male = evil. C'rin = ...eviler.

That hurt C'rin just the tiniest bit. His eyes narrowed. He walked over to Theo and stood within arm's distance of her, his own still crossed. "Why not?" he demanded. "In the past six months - well, not counting the three you ran away - what have I done to you?" Besides the verbal stuff.

"Existed," Theo said flatly. It was a bit harsh, but she didn't care. She turned to face him entirely, her hold on Teydrin turning protective. The baby herself wasn't really paying attention, since as soon as she'd finished she had thrown the bottle across the room and gone back to sleep. "In any case, I've learned better than to trust that just because someone hasn't done something yet they won't ever do anything." It was a bit of a rambling sentence, but it was the best she could find to equate her feelings verbally.

Okay, now C'rin was frustrated. And still a bit hurt. Which made him even more frustrated. He sputtered at her, having so many things to say and knowing it wouldn't make a difference. He had done his best in the last three months to pick up her slack, he had honestly tried, but Theo wouldn't have known that. Not that it would have improved his status in her eyes. Nor would the fact that he'd been trating her differently than the rest of the Weyr. That didn't matter, either. So if it didn't matter, why not just act the part she viewed him as? He considered it. "Since I obviously will never have your trust, perhaps I should just force you to give Teydrin to me?"

Theo practically growled, backing away a step. "Don't even try it," she snarled. It would have been better had he not thought about it, but she'd settle for not trying it. That would have to be good enough. Strange as it sounded, she couldn't wait until Lykath Rose again. To be free of this- this- this madness. And all that confusion she couldn't understand. She didn't want him to hate her, but because she could very well see that he did, she was angry, and that anger bordered on hate. Ah, the confusion of people controlled by Nai.

C'rin frowned, and instead of pursuing like he'd thought he would, here merely looked away. "Fine. Whatever," he sighed, turned on his heel and walked back to the door that led to his section. He didn't know what to do anymore, didn't know how to win her trust, and certainly didn't know how to get her to stop snarling at him. You could try honesty, the Darkness grumbled, tired of his rider's angst. Normally, he didn't mind it, but he was angsting over Theo, which was something he could do something about if he went about it the right way. C'rin shrugged. What's the use? Everyone in the Weyr hates me - why shouldn't she? He glanced back at her with a deeper frown. "Enjoy your last night with Teydrin. Then tell me what's it's like to watch her sleep, because I'll never know." And then he walked into the other room and slammed the door.

Theo put the baby down on the bed and paced back and forth, snarling at herself and occasionally allowing the wall to feel her wrath. In case you're dense, this means that occasionally she punched it. Or kicked it. Well, she bruised her toe and split the skin on her knuckles, but at least she felt better. Sort of. Damndamndamndamndamn...! He'd just had to go and pull the guilt on her, hadn't he? Damndamn! Now she was going to give in. She knew it. She was going to give in, and he was never going to let her live it down. Well, fine. She'd be forever known as weak and ridiculously merciful. So long as he didn't tell anyone else, that was fine. After all, he couldn't think any less of her... So, after what was actually an hour but felt like much less because it was full of frantic mind-whirring, she picked the baby up and, after kicking at the door (her version of knocking) to let him know that she was about to bust in so he'd better be properly dressed, she opened said door and went in. "Fine, whatever," she said, trying to look blase ((that was blaz-ay, but I can't get the accent)), "You can come in the other room. It really isn't fair to make you... ah... miss out... I guess."

Oh, he'd heard the bangs, but knew better than to go waltzing back in and see what was going on. He really didn't want a punch to the face, or a kick...much like his door received. C'rin shifted in his cot, staring over the side at Theo and Teydrin with dull eyes. He'd just been about to fall asleep, but he certainly wasn't going to chance a quip and have her retract her offer. So he slid out of the cot - still dressed as he was, too mopey to undress - and padded across the room to her, just sleepy enough to bend down and press a light kiss to the baby's head, then replicate it on Theo. "Thanks," he mumbled, honestly quite happy over her choice. Normally he would have rubbed it in her face, but he didn't feel like it now. He wanted to spend the night with his daughter too badly to jeopardize the situation. "Where do you want me to sleep?"

Theo stiffened when he- she couldn't believe it- kissed her on the forehead (he must have been very confused to mix her up with the baby) but didn't react otherwise. She was just relieved he wasn't screaming and/or rubbing it in her face. "You can sleep in the bed," she said, a bit grudgingly. But it wasn't really fair to tell him he could go in there and then ordering him to sleep on the floor. And he had promised not to do anything out of line, so... She turned and marched back into the room (marched because it felt decicive), put the baby down in what she deemed was a safe place, since it was between two pillows and the two of them would probably be smart enough not to squish poor little Teydrin, who still hadn't voiced a single opinion on anything other than how fun it was to kick daddy dear in the eye, and climbed in herself, looking obstinate. Whatever he did, she was going to sleep.

C'rin smothered a yawn and nodded to her, trying not to laugh at how she marched. What a woman. He ignored that thought and tugged off his shirt, knowing he wouldn't sleep with it on, then tossed it at the floor next to the bed. He was careful not to bump Teydrin as he climbed in to bed, finding it...odd to share a bed with her. Even more odd that she'd agreed to it. Choosing to face her, resisting the urge to poke the baby in the cheek. C'rin would probably stay awake a while more before falling asleep, and wouldn't touch Theo. And maybe it was good, or perhaps it was bad, but he didn't even think of starting anything.

No, she didn't watch. Nope. Nuh-uh. She wasn't interested in the slightest. Come on, just because she was female didn't make her ridiculously hormonal! Or... did it? Cue maniacal laughter on the part of Nai, who hasn't had much sleep. "Hmph," was her only comment before she went promptly to sleep. What a tiring day of waving babies around!
