Theo pursed her lips. "With anyone else," she said, "I would take that as a compliment. Sort of. With you, I'm not sure whether or not it's an insult. And quit staring at me. You're freaking me out. Or did your eyes get stuck?" This last was said with a good deal of sarcasm. Melted in place? Possibly.

C'rin merely shrugged and kept staring at her, not doing anything to disprove her theory on his eyes. "Take it how you will," he replied blandly, not letting on that it had indeed been a compliment. Mith wasn't going to let him get away with that. It was a good thing, what Mine said, he informed Lykath. Whatever she chose to do with this information - or whatever Theo, since she could hear him - was not his problem anymore.

Theo raised her eyebrows. "I'm not inclined to believe Mith," she informed him. "Mith and Lykath tend to think they can play matchmaker." No, she hadn't forgotten that. "Will you fork her over?" she asked suddenly, crossing the room again and extending her arms for the baby. Teydrin was hers. Ooh, territorial mommy. And she couldn't even take out her frustration by hitting him.

Mine isn't entirely displeased with that, Mith inserted before C'rin even had a chance to answer for himself. The poor man was too flustered to do anything but settled Teydrin into her mother's arms, stand and walk into his side room to do...something. Mith, I swear one day-You will be glad for my meddling, yes. The dragon sounded so confident that C'rin just sighed and let the issue slide.

And while this wonderfully intelligent conversation was taking place, Fia had obeyed the Weyrwoman (strange, yes), and run off to plot revenge on 'someone' for 'nothing whatsoever', Beneath was cooing about how wonderful it must be to have a child with purple eyes; Scout was giving the Stream the usual 'are you feeling okay?' look, K'rion had lost interest, and Marinoth was humming something that he had made up and forgotten the words to.

Displeased with what? Theo asked, ignoring the idea that they would ever appreciate their dragons' meddling as she cuddled her baby-kins. Since she would only have Teydrin for the one last night, she was damn well going to hug her. Lykath sighed at the stupidity of humans- the way dragons did it was so much more efficient- and went to sleep.

C'rin settled onto the dragon ledge and kicked his feet in the air. He'd been doing that a lot lately, half-hanging over the air, staring down and wondering what it would be like to fall. Okay, maybe not just lately. Not that he was suicidal, he just got bored pretty quickly with no one to torment while Theo was gone. Causing pain and misery hadn't been the same without her to snap at him for it. The results of our matchmaking game. Mith supplied the answer, eyeing His carefully. He knew he wouldn't ever jump, but then agian, it was C'rin.

"Ooooooh," Theo said aloud. "Natural male reaction, I suppose." She shrugged noncommittally and cooed to Teydrin, who had woken up and was now demanding, by way of grabbing her mother's hair and yanking, to be fed. "Nanny, love, could you go and fetch a bottle from Bel? Only now that we're back here, I don't think I'll be feeding her the normal way..." Certainly not when C'rin couldn't be ordered out of the room. The Hart chirped and flicked between.

Black isn't sure how C'rin would have responded to seeing that. Probably for the best that it doesn't happen. Either way, the Darknessrider remained perched on the ledge for a moment longer, though he had stopped considering the option of jumping. Mith had settled down as well, a bit drowsy because...well...he was Mith. He did what he wanted. When the rider's thoughts turned back to Teydrin, he moved back into the main room, leaning against the wall that seperated the rooms. "I suppose she's going to sleep with you tonight?"

"Of course," Theo said, blinking at him as she extended a hand into the air. A split second later, Nanny appeared, bottle in tow. Yes, Theo knew all. Frightening. Without looking away from C'rin, she took the bottle and stuffed it in the baby's mouth. Baby was happy with this. Now Theo looked down, and grinned at Teydrin. "Where else would she sleep?"

"Well, I thought maybe..." he trailed off, looking away. Maybe he'd been silly to assume he'd get to sleep with the baby. Of course Theo would want Teydrin. She probably didn't even trust him with her. Unless...it was a long shot, but he'd try it anyway. "Maybe I could sleep with you tonight?"

Silence. Utter, utter silence. Theo's expression went wooden. "No," she said flatly. Then she turned around and pointedly focused her attentions on Teydrin. Perhaps it was an innocent questions, but Theo had experience with men and innocent questions. They always turned into something that wasn't innocent, and she wanted none of that. Never, ever again, she'd told herself- well, that had failed miserably. Stupid Flying dragon...

C'rin sighed, crossed his arms. He'd expected as much. But it didn't mean he wasn't going to stop trying. He'd put up a protest about keeping Teydrin longer so he could see her, and he was going to see more of her. "Look, I can...sleep at the foot of the bed or something. Tie my wrists, make me sleep on the floor by the bed, whatever. I just want to spend time with Teydrin before she's fostered." It wasn't often - or ever - that C'rin sounded so willing to be be flexible.

Theo... ignored him entirely. She was not going to compromise on this. Ever. Nope. He'd probably squish the baby anyway. The man was so oblivious to his surroundings... Honestly, he probably wouldn't notice if a dragon came out of nowhere and ate him. Nanny flitted over to land on C'rin's head. This action seemed to have no foundation in any reason other than she felt like it.

C'rin swatted at the Hart flitter absently, still intent on getting to spend time with Teydrin. He was starting to get annoyed, though. "Look, Theo. I am going to spend time with our daughter before she goes to Bel. Now, you can be stubborn and make me force the issue - which I actually don't want to do - or you can just believe me when I say that I wont do anything to you that you don't want me to."
