"Because it's my son!" he snarled, assuming it would be a boy. Of course it was. His genes were too manly to be a girl. Sure, C'rin. You're girlier than I am. "You can't kill my child!" OH JUBILATIONS. FATHERS AT THE SAME TIME. I AM SO HAPPY I COULD CRY.

"What if it's a girl?" Theo challenged. Oh, now he's said that, it's totally gonna be a girl. "And it's half mine! Mostly mine! I have to do the work! If it's mine, then why would you want it? It's like voting to keep me! I know you just want me to get lost between, so why the shard would you want to keep something that's like me?!" This drama was totally overshadowing the Hatching, but said Hatching seemed to have taken a break, so no one really cared. Except Lykath, who was ignoring said drama in favor of said paused Hatching.

"It's not going to be a girl!" he snapped. It couldn't be a girl. Theo was more than enough female to handle. "And...uh," he faltered, pressing his lips together. He wasn't going to say what he was thinking. Mith was still celebrating.

"HA!" Theo said, pointing at him wildly and just barely missing jabbing him in the eye. "See? You don't have an answer to that! So I'll just go and borrow Shinth." She ducked out of his hold, and ran outside. R'hel and Shinth weren't there- they were somewhere else. She'd just call the Yellow pair. Lykath blinked. Did I miss something? she asked Mith. She seemed to have realized that, though nothing was happening with her babies, who were all watching or trying to Hatch, something was happening with Hers.

He ground his teeth together before bolting after her. "No! Theo! THEO!"
Ours are going to be parents like us!
He caught up to her, barely. "Theo, no. I...don't...uh. I don't want you lost between." C'rin cringed, then cleared his throat. "I'd have to do all the paperwork." Nice save.

Kerion...was...totally...lost. One minute he was touching a bright yellow egg...the next, dragonets were hatching right and left...and now the Weyrleaders were screaming at the tops of their lungs about something he couldn't begin to comprehend. Why couldn't he comprehend it?
Because he is a teenage boy. And teenage boys do not comprehend.
Anything.
Except food.
And games.
And food.
And major things like death.
And food.
Anyway...
He backed slowly away from the entrance/exit to the Sands. This was scary.
He gave Lykath a terrified look. "A-are they always l-like this?" -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MEANWHILE, Fia and Beneath came running in to see what all the commotion was about.
The Weyrleaders were screaming at each other.
Oh.
Again?
Ah well.
Nothing to worry about, then.
"Beneath?"
Sure thingy! He cleared his mental throat.
DO NOT BE ALARMED! THIS IS A REGULAR OCCURANCE IN THE WEYR. PLEASE IGNORE OUR LOVELY WEYRLEADERS UNTIL THEY HAVE CALMED DOWN SOMEWHAT. ENJOY THE HATCHING, EVERYONE, AS IT IS STILL GOING ON, he announced loudly to everyone on the Sands.
"Thank you."
Sure. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kerion was not convinced.

((Wow.... *erupts into giggles and falls off the chair* I LOVE THIS THREAD! *had way to much fun reading it and can't stop laughing*))
Zethem stared at the Storm sitting on his feet. Yes, very weird. Eyebrow raise. Okaaay. He was certainly a bit confused by the behavior of it and the Rain. But he did see and hear what happened around him as he continued to watch dragons hatch and the Storm warm his feet even more so. L'tarel and Sonya had poofed back to see the hatching, and had heard the lovely news of Theo and C'rin. L'rian had also come back momentarily to watch. Sopping wet and dripping from head to toe along with his dragon............
And that's it because Jeni has to go to school and finish some of her homework she didn't want to do last night cause it's booooorrriiinnnggggggg!

Theo eyed C'rin distrustfully. "You wouldn't do it anyway," she pointed out. "I've trained Sonya and Death and- what the hell does that matter? I'm not getting lost between. I'm just going to go and get rid of a problem. It has nothing to do with you. You'll hate it, anyway. Need I say again that it will be like me?"
Oh, that's... wait, what? Suddenly, the second Spector leapt up, squealing with joy, and tackled His- Kerion. Marinth found you, K'rionmine! he gushed.

Perdido had wandered in. Technically, she shoudln't be standing. She was too old. But she had lost a dragon in the rampage, and thus had been entitled to stand despite age. She exhibited surprise at the Gold's death, but nothing more. Only a single tear soon dropped to the ground showed any sign of emotions. Perdido studied the sand. Which was hard to do, since she was pregnant. For the first time. Definitely an odd Candidate. She didn't care. She didn't notice. She watched the sand, kicking it a bit and seeing how it all panned out in delight.

MMMMMMMMMMMMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!All unnoticed, a little Green had made her appearance. She charged at Perdido. Half a second before impact, she froze, thought about it, then tackled her anyway. Lightly. After all, she didn't want to hurt the eggs! This little one wasn't very logical, but... Mine! Mine should not be sad, Saristh does not like sad! But Saristh does like food. OH, LOOK, SARISTH IS SHINY! LOOK AT SARISTH!Strange. Well, she was interesting looking. In places, she darkened to near-black. She clearly wasn't your typical Green. ((Same appearance and personality as Yandrei, just too lazy to type it up. ><; )

"Oh. Well then," he stammered, not quite sure where to go from that. It's not like C'rin ever needed a reason for anything anyway. "But it will be like me, too. And it'd be a shame to throw out such potential." PARENTS. WE'RE ALL HAVING CUTE, SQUISHY BABIES! Okay, Mith has been spending too much time with Calth, apparently.

With a sardonic smile, Theo patted C'rin on the arm. "But what would you do if it did turn out like me?" she asked quietly. "Drown it in the lake? No, I think it's better to get rid of it now." She backed away. "So... if you don't mind... I'm going to call Shinth now. He and R'hel won't mind." She didn't trust most other riders. She trusted R'hel quite a lot, actually. He was very reliable. Shinth? Mine does not like that.

Luciana had been taken aback when the hatching started so suddenly, but had quickly calmed down after a bit. She had spent most of the time watching quietly, waiting and wondering what the next egg would hold. But now, the Weyrleader and Weyrwoman were arguing, and the hatching seemed to have paused.

With a graceful crackle, onto the Sands spilled a Coral. She was of the rough variety, but not so much that she was strange to the touch. She was not in possession of gills. She was definitely built to be cuddly, but she moved in such a stately manner that she looked like a miniature Queen. Lucianamineown, she intoned. There was no other word for it. Your Reath is glad you are here.
