I'm sure there's an extra queens weyr somewhere. But if you don't want to bet, that's fine. Bragging rights is plenty. I could ask Mine to make Yours jewelry? Mine likes to play with gold metal a lot. And for some reason, humans like the stuff he makes. Baynath did not understand jewelry at all.
The weyrwoman and weyrleader... hitting each other. Somehow, L'dros didn't consider that fun. But to each their own.

"Well, I got mad when he pulled out my hair- it was so inconvenient!" Theo complained, rubbing the back of her head. She was, at this point, talking at L'ros as though he was a wall. Just a... thing to... talk at. "I had to wear my hair up in just that one certain way and I couldn't use it as a weapon to hit people with and it ws just so boring! Plus, it hurt." This was just a minor addition, of course.
Mine likes shiny things, but she says that jewelry is burdensome, annoying, and, like dresses and high heels on shoes, a male contrivance to make it harder to run away. That was a no. No wager.

Okay, bragging rights it is then. Here? Or somewhere else? And do Ours get weapons? Oh! And we need a referee. I could ask Salaronth, but I don't think he'd be very good at it...
"Why would you have to wear your hair a certain way?" Of course L'dros didn't understand women and their hair. His just did whatever it felt like, and tried to avoid being burned by falling embers from the forge.

Theo rolled her eyes. "So that no one could see the bald spot, silly!" she said, smacking him lightly on the shoulder. "Our squishies have nearly worked out the terms of the bet," she added.
Not here- I would destroy all the buildings. She pondered. There is a clearing some distance away that would accomodate us. And no weapons, for I fear that mine would become... overenthusiastic and kill yours.

I think Mine could handle Yours, even with weapons. But you are right. We wouldn't want Mine to kill Yours accidentally; he would not take that well at all. Baynath paused, trying to think of the clearing Lykath had mentioned. I know the place you're talking about. Should be a nice place. You want to invite an audience?
"Finished the terms of the bet? Ah, so we really are going through with this... I won't hold back," L'dros warned. He knew that Theo and Lykath would fight their best, and it would be an insult to them if he did not do the same.

No audience. Mine does not like people she is not fighting to see her tricks. Come, Mine. She inclined her body so that Theo would be able to get on. The Weyrwoman grinned. "Neither will I, dearie," she warned him, and clambered into her straps. "Let's go play!"

Baynath nodded. Fine! We'll meet you there. Come on, Leandros, hurry up and climb on. The bone moved so that His could reach the harness.
L'dros climbed up onto the Bone's back easily; he had gotten much better at it in the past Turn, and now it was almost second nature. "Okay, then. Let's go!"
((Shall we make a new thread in the clearing? Or just continue here?))

((Oh, just continue here. xP))
Lykath nodded and leapt into the air, blinking between. The Weyrqueen reappeared above the clearing, and gently touched down, before ungracefully flopping on her side to display her utter disdain. And to let Theo, who had not, in fact, been squished, get off more easily. "Thank you, lovey!" Theo trilled, patting the Mist, who got back to her feet and stretched sinuously.

((Yay for being lazy! -cheers-))
Baynath snorted in annoyance, as the queen and her rider had taken a head start. But he had enough patience to wait until L'dros was ready before jumping between.
They reappeared above the forest, and Baynath spotted Lykath quickly. He landed in the clearing with ease, but not before doing a quick loop in the air to show off.

Mith dances better, Lykath said dismissively. Wasting no time, she lunged at Baynath the moment his rider was safely out of the way, careful not to do damage with her claws and teeth but using her superior weight to bear him down.
Theo stared at the dragons for a moment and shrugged. "Shall we, dearie?" As though she was intiting him to dance...

Baynath quickly flipped onto his back, using his hind legs to kick Lykath and push her off of him. He took care not to claw her by mistake; he didn't have to use cheap tricks to win.
L'dros watched the dragons for a moment, feeling Baynath's adrenaline and competitive spirit. "If you are ready," he replied with a brief bow. He wondered how the weyrwoman actually fought. This could be fun. With that thought, he charged towards Theo, then quickly threw a sweeping kick towards the back of her legs. The easiest way to win a fight like this was to knock over your opponent, and while he doubted Theo would fall for such a simple trick, it was a good way to test the waters.

Lykath was vaguely amused. The poor creature was only a Bone, and she was much larger than he. Though that might give him speed, she had strength on her own side. In response, she merely rolled away and leapt back to her feet to tackle him again. No need for claws or teeth...
Theo merely cocked her head to the side, watching his movements. Oh, honestly, so soon? That move was good when your opponent was distracted, but not when they were paying full attention. "Don't have to fight like a pansy, lovey," she assured him, jumping neatly over the sweeping foot. She used her momentum to land hard on said foot, stomping on the ankle where she just knew it hurt. Then she made a grab for his arm, hoping to throw him over. As C'rin had once commented, the lovely Weyrwoman was 'beastly strong.'

"Just testing you," L'dros replied, wincing as Theo's foot hit his ankle. Not a good thing. He could still walk on it, of course, but there would be bruises later. And now she was trying to throw him? Theo was much stronger than he had realized. But he moved with the throw, doing a flip and twisting Theo's wrist. With his free hand, he tried to hold hers in place, so that she couldn't simple release the tension by letting go.
Baynath began to realize the difficulties of fighting the much larger queen. She could probably smother him if he grew tired. But he had other advantages. Moving to the side slightly as Lykath tried to tackle him, he then pushed her from the side, slightly following her movement and using her weight to help him push her over.

Lykath rumbled ominously as he tried to tip her over- she was not a herdbeast. ((Heh... cow tipping...)) In fact, she was a Queen, and should she so wish she could always order the Bone to roll over and surrender. Aw, but it would be so much more entertaining to grind him into the dirt... So, though she did roll, she rolled back up and leapt over- to sit on his head. Very nice, Lykath.
Theo's wrist was indeed grabbed and twisted, which is never a fun thing to have happen, but she simply grinned and jammed her foot into his shin before twisting to knee him in the stomach. Who cared if this hurt her wrist? Her grin turned ever so slightly maniacal. Funfunfun...

Baynath was a bit surprised when the gold landed on his head, and snorted loudly. Get off! he growled, using his tail like a whip to strike the Mist, and try and get her off. He could hold his breath for several minutes, but this was just annoying.
Important information: Theo thrived on the counter-attack. She was the sort who would take any hit if it meant she could deal one out. He pondered this as he instinctively caught her knee. Ah, but now she had kicked his shin, and he rolled to the ground. Hopefully she would try and use that to her advantage; grappling was always one of his better fighting areas.
