Name:
J'din (Jaisedin)
also: Jaisemine when Salaronth is lazy.
Age:
21
Appearance:
Jaise has two expressions: blank and exasperated. There are variations on these, but even those look dour. He would be attractive if he wasn't so deathly pale and look dead most of the time. His hair is dark and far too long. He hates it, and will be changing it soon. His eyes are a dead blue; very dead. Average height, scantly built.
Personality:
Jaisedin is a man of many vices. After losing everything he knew, his personality reversed as a defense mechanism. The previously bubbly boy went gloomy and silent. The change was, in retrospect, not so unexpected. He'd always had a bad family life, and had always been expected to Impress; so when he still hadn't by his last year, it seemed like nothing was going right. In truth, the happiness he showed was the front. The attack just gave him reason to sink into despair.
He's not an angry person, nor is he the least bit violent. Even when drinking - something one might see him doing at any hour of the day - he's fairly impassive. He seeks thrills to keep himself interested in life, and so has developed many bad habits. He doesn't seem to understand where to stop, and so far has had no one to tell him. He makes very few appearances, and only when he has to. To all appearances, Jaise is calm and impassive.
History:
Jaise was an accident. His mother was a new rider, just out of Weyrlinghood, and his father an older rider who had few years left in his life. It was a moment she tried to forget, and so pushed her first son away. This left only his father who took a moderate interest in him, only enough to assert that he had to do what he said. His father died when he was 5, and so he was pushed into the creche.
Life there wasn't much better, and to try to make it bearable he became cheerful and ignored the bad. Okay, lots of years passed, and as soon as he was old enough, he started Standing.
And Standing.
And Standing.
And is still trying to Impress. The attack...uh, yeah. It changed him.
Companions:
None that have lasted longer than a few moons.
