Name: Leandros
Age: 19 Turns
Appearance: The immediately striking feature is Leandros’s leonine features. His grey-gold hair resembles a lion’s mane, and his face has the same fierce, regal appearance as the king of beasts, golden eyes surveying the world around. He stands about 6’ tall, with broad shoulders and a thick, muscular build. His appearance is not young, but not is it old; it has a sort of timeless quality to it. It speaks both of experience and strength, of wisdom and of youthful vigor.
Personality: Most people would say Leandros has very little personality. He is very straightforward, with little guile or deceit in his nature. But he is not so foolish as to assume the same of others. Mainly, he is watchful, constantly aware of the world about him. He is not emotional; though he may express mild sentiments, any passion is a rare sight. He can, however, be impatient when he had a job to do. He works at any task with a stubborn insistence on finishing it and prides himself in being able to accomplish through perseverance what others failed despite cleverness, strength, or beauty. This doggedness also shows itself in Leandros’s strong sense of loyalty. He willingly risks his life for those he deems worthy of it, and will stop at nothing to protect those he cares about.
History: His father was a journeyman smith, and his mother, well, rumors said she was a greenrider, which explained why she had disappeared so suddenly, leaving behind nothing but an infant wrapped in a blanket. Understanding the ways of weyrfolk, the smith didn't pursue her, and instead focused on raising his boy.
Leandros grew up in Smithhall, learning all he could about metalworking. He had a talent for it, especially for jewelry work. Despite his brutish appearance, he was quite artistic, crafting things ranging from a simple pendant for his to an intricate gold flower for some Lord Holder's wedding. While he mostly made basic tools and the like, it was for his gold and silver smithing that he was soon to walk the tables.
Yet fate seemed to have other plans. Not a week before the event, he was Searched by the remaining weyrhold. A disgrace and a waste, many thought. But Leandros himself was quite honored by it, wondering what Weyr life held, and if it in any way resembled the glorious tales his father told.
He hadn't expected the insanity that had seemed the standard at Noelan, not in the least. Even at the hatching, there was chaos. Not the least of which was impressing Baynath, a proud, arrogant Bone.
Companions: Bone Baynath, of course, and three flits, Storm Damascus, Yellow Vanural, and Silver Frood.
--------------
Dragon Name and Color:
Bone Baynath
Dragon Appearance: Pale tannish-while, like dried bones, with a single black mark near his left shoulder. The mark resembles a spade.
Dragon Personality: Baynath is very proud, arrogant, and mischievous. He has to be the best, all the time. Being a middle rank seems to bother him, as he considers himself better than even a Storm. He really likes fire. Tad of a pyro, actually. He also likes to fly acrobatically, doing flips and turns in the air and forcing his poor rider to cling for dear life.
