Name: K'rion (K'ri, if you're a very close friend)
Age:13 1/2
14 1/2
15 1/2 Turns
Appearance:
(I finally figured the picture thing out!) With chocolate brown hair, dark brown eyes, Kerion stands about 5'8, with a reasonably strong frame and light brown skin.
Personality: Calm and kind, Kerion is a young boy who thinks a lot and can be quiet for a while. He doesn't have a huge temper, and thinks before he lashes out at people, unless he's been brought to boiling point already. Then he starts shouting. Loudly, but only when he has to. Kerion likes to help people, and is intelligent enough to do it well, in most cases. He possesses a good deal of patience, and is usually just pleasant person to be around.
However, he's been very, very quiet ever since the attack on the Weyr. He never agreed with it, and was horrified when he realized the extent of the damage. More important to him, though, was the fact that his entire family was killed during the attack, when the dragons retaliated. Full of grief, lacking much confidence and extremely lonely, Kerion needs a friend badly, a good friend who will be understanding and supporting. (His flit doesn't really cut it...) But he's hidden too deep inside himself to attempt to befriend anybody.
But should he make a friend, he'd be very loyal to them, put their safety and happiness far ahead of his own, and trust them with his life.
Now he's got his dragon, though, and he's much happier.
History: Growing up in a minor Hold close to the Weyr, Kerion was raised by his mother, father, and older brother and sister. His entire life was peaceful, and he never had much to worry about. His family didn't share the common view on the Dragonriders, and protested as best they could against the attack, but it proved futile.
When the dragons attacked to avenge their Riders, they tried to escape. Kerion and his brother managed to make it to the nearby forest, but before they could escape into the trees, the dragon found them. Kerion only managed to escape because his brother, determined to protect his younger sibling, shoved him into the forest before leading the Bloodrose in the other direction. Terrified, he ran for his life until it was all over.
Having no other option, he traveled to another Hold, and, although grieving, lived there for a full Turn. While there, a kindhearted flit owner gave him an egg to help ease his sense of loss, and he Impressed a little Violet. Life remained bearable, but sad, until a Dragonrider showed up and took him off to the Weyr as a Candidate. He Impressed a Spector.
Companions: An insane little Violet flit named Twisted Little Lunatic (Loony or Twisted). Zero help in building his confidence, but she makes him laugh.
Dragon Preferences:
Iron: He's a very kind boy, and hardly what I'd call unintelligent.
Stone: Loyal and trusting, a Stone would be a good match for him.
Bone: Cause it'd be cool.
Spector: He doesn't like to see others hurt or upset.
Bronze: He's intelligent, and besides, what boy doesn't want a Bronze at some point in their life?
Brown: Cause he's good natured and loyal! ^___^
Darkness: He kind of needs a nice, cheerful dragon, to help raise his spirits.
(Or a Green. Because it would be hilarious to see a straight boy Bonded to a Green! Besides, they're funny, and Impressing one would help him become more confident and cheerful. But mainly because it would be hilarious.)
Dragon: Spector Marinoth
Description: The typical small-boned Spector, Marinoth actually is small for a Spector, 99 feet at full growth. His wings are rather long, and his tail is as well. His hide is of typical coloring, faded gold with white streaks. He has two white streaks across each eye, vertically, like he was slashed there by a knife, or claw.
Personality: Happy and friendly, Marinoth loves to help out with every little thing, from sweeping, to dishes (oh dear), to soothing depressed people, to saving someone's life in a disaster. He LOOOOVES little ones (dragonets, human kids, flits, wherlings, whatever), and likes to play with them. He is also over-protective of His, and will freak out if even the slightest problem arise for K'rion. They fit very well, both willing to put others' safety and happiness before their own (often leading to mild quarrels when the two insist that the other's happiness is more important).
