Name: Zenniel
Age: 11 Turns
Appearance: Zenniel's looks... She's a little on the small side, with her height being not completely settled into yet. She's also young, which gives her more room to grow. Her weight is also a little on the small side. She looks more petite than she really makes herself out to be. Her face is framed by blond hair, and her eyes are a sort of bluish-gray. She has worked on a farm for most of her life, meaning she has muscles where most girls won't.
Personality: Zenniel isn't stupid, and in fact she is very smart. She is brave, loyal, and extremely hyper. That's all she is most the time: hyper. It's not her fault, or maybe it is. Her mind thinks it's always time to play, and therefor the has never really given her childhood playtime. Despite her hyperness, she is very strong-willed and stubborn. Though she has learned the hard way many times over from her parents, she can still choke sometimes.
History: Zenniel, or Zen as her parents and friends call her, was born the only child to a farmer just outside of the Weyr. Because of the strategic placing of where they lived, Zen could watch the dragons all day long while doing chores. And chores she did. She had to feed, take care, and even sometimes kill the livestock that she lived with. It was all part of her life, and even though she was small and petite, her strength could match the livestock's itself.
When Zenniel was around 10 Turns, still a youngster, but old enough to know death, her mother birthed a male child. The child had a rare disease and was dead within three days. Her whole family was devastated, and it was picked up by the livestock. They called with horrible voices to the sky. They trampled their pens, and rocked trees from the earth. It was around that time when one of the livestock unearthed a Marigold Fire-lizard's clutch.
Zenniel heard the frightened cries of the livestock from the small farm-house that was her home. She was eating lunch at the time, and sprinted outside to see what was the matter. She saw a gold thing flit from the livestock's head to the ground, and she couldn't believe her eyes. She still held the bread that she had been eating for lunch, but she didn't know it. Quietly, the girl walked to the disturbed nest. Many dead hatchlings lay on the ground, with only a few left alive. Most of them were trampled.
The girls' eyes fell on two of the hatchlings that were still alive. She spied the bread in her hand, and gave some to the two. Greedily, they ate from her hand like the birds that did whenever they could. The two fire-lizard dragonets climbed onto her arms with small croons. She could feel two small minds link with hers, and she smiled.
"I name you Xiri," she told the small Gold, "and you Cree," she smiled at the Brown.
The house was bustling and happy, and some of the time no one could remember why they were ever sad. The two fire-lizards made the three humans life worthwhile. As Xiri and Cree grew, so did Zenniel. She had almost always been trapped in her childhood slumber, but when Xiri and Cree had been born, they readied her for what was to come.
The night that Zenniel left with Xiri and Cree to the Weyr, an explosion racked the farm. Zenniel turned back to see the farm in shambles, and the livestock shivering with fear.
"Mother? Father?" She cried, running back to the farm. Her fire-lizards helped her search the wreck of the house, but nothing was found. Zenniel gave up, and turned away. There was nothing left for her to do but go to the Weyr. She turned around, and never looked back.
Companions:
Name: Xiri
Color: Gold
Species: Fire-lizard
Personality: Xiri = bossy. The female is stubborn (a trait she gets from her owner) and loves being by Zenniel all of the time.
Name: Cree
Color: Brown
Species: Fire-lizard
Personality: Cree is laid-back, and he loves his life. He sticks with his unannounced clutchsibling and Zenniel at all times. He is usually seen hanging around her neck or cuddled in the crook of her arm.
Dragon Preferences: Anything please.
Why: I know you'll probably say something along the lines of: you have to choose a color, so I'll put down right now that my explanation will include everything.
First off, the High colors. None of my characters have ever 'impressed' high colors, and I don't really care whether Zenniel does or not. She is my favorite character now, and I would rather she Impress whatever you think she would Impress.
Second: Middle Colors. Middle colors are fine for Zenniel, just don't stick her with any color that's the complete opposite of her personality. I don't like those matchups.
Third: Low Colors. My favorites are the Streams the Summers. I'm not too picky with low colors.
Fourth: I would really like Zenniel to have a Clutching color. In all of the role play places I am in (Currently only Blue Orchid and Abuton now...) she does not have a Clutching color. I would love to role play a Hatching at least once in a while, and have never been able to do so because of my lower-colored dragons. Not that i'm saying lower colors are bad, I'm just saying I would love for Zenniel to have her dragon Fly, and then have the experience of actually having a Clutch.
Rule Remark: Oh, the shininess. Think fast.
