"I've almost dropped off," Raiden admitted ruefully. "Riding straps or no... Frightened poor Adath half to death." She smiled at the happiness from Adath, who was glad not to be alone.
Thank you, Lilith, Adath said fondly, nudging her with considerable affection. In his enthusiasm, he probably knocked her over. He was a giant monster, unfortunately...

"I can see why. Would've frightened me half to death too if I had seen that." Z'them replied truthfully. Really, seeing anyone almost fall off a dragon would rattle him. And, even though he knew Adath would hopefully catch her, the thought of her falling off was not a happy one.
Yes, in fact he did knock her a bit and she fell on her side. But Lilith didn't mind in the slightest. She laughed in her own melodious, draconic voice. Once resituated she nudged him back. Though he, unlike her, didn't move. No surprise there. No need to thank me, really. I am always happy to join you. The Rain told him fondly.

Raiden smiled, embarassed. "I'm not very coordinated," she informed him. "Actually, I'm a walking disaster-magnet." The concept of magnets may or may not have existed on Pern, but Nai says it does.
Adath stiffened in surprise, and, impossibly, squeaked. I am so sorry! he gasped. Are you all right?!

Jeni thinks it sounds good and has no intention of arguing whether they do or not. "Well, that's an interesting quality to have. Probably not the best when accompanied by a 165 foot dragon at your disposal." He teased, chuckling lightly.
Lilith nudged him once again with her nose, this time a bit more playfully. Yes, silly. She assured him, teasing him a bit for his over reaction. I am a dragon after all. It would take more than an affectionate and enthusiastic nudge to do any harm. No matter how much smaller I may be. A bit of her draconic pride showed in her remark.

Raiden made a face. "No, it isn't," she agreed, sulking a bit. "I regularly fall into, out of, onto, and through everything that could possibly include a dangerous or painful result."
I knocked over a rock and it broke, Adath said mournfully. I did not wish to hurt you, nor did I wish to insult you. I apologize.

"Well I'm sorry to hear that. I wonder if there is anyway to help that problem." Z'them mused, though not knowing of any possibly way to help being a danger-magnet. It seemed to be a fairly unavoidable 'talent.'
Well, even though you didn't need to, for you didn't hurt me or really insult me, I certainly accept your apology. And, it was just a silly rock. They break anyway after time. There are much more interesting things, interesting and unbreakable, for the most part. Lilith told him, sounding cheerful and wanting to cheer him up.

Raiden shrugged. "I've been trying to avoid it my whole life, and it's never worked so far." This barely seemed to concern her. "It is very inefficient, though," she added thoughtfully. "If I wasn't always hurting myself, I could get so much more done."
Adath was, in fact, cheered. You are right, he said in his low, rumbling tones. But it was a very big rock. He didn't want to disrespect the memory of the innocent rock he had accidentally destroyed.

"Yes, I do suppose that would make things easier to do. You could concentrate more on the work instead of what could happen. Maybe you just need someone to help watch your back so when these disasters strike you can have some help." Z'them said, his sentences turned more joking towards the end.
When then I'd have to say that is some strength you have. Something to be admired I bet. Lilith mused, meaning what she said.

Raiden smiled, but it was another of those odd-edged smiles she used when she had to cover a negative thought. Sia had used to watch her back. "Maybe I do," she agreed, laughing a little.
I do, Adath said modestly. It is because I am so ridiculously huge. Or so Mine says. Thank you.

"Well if you ever need any help with that, just find me, I'd be happy to help." Z'them offered with a playful grin, though not being truly serious for he never really expected her to take him up on it. Not that he wouldn't mind, but, he figured it was a bit silly.
You're very welcome. Big or small, each has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Lilith stated. She liked being smaller. It was easier for her to get around. And, she didn't have to worry about crushing and/or smashing things. Being bigger though would help in some ways. But she didn't really care.

Raiden smiled. "Maybe I will," she said. And then, since this was the Southern Continent and random weather things happened there, there was a rumble of thunder... and it started pouring. This, dears, was Raiden's luck. Of course, she loved rain so this wasn't a bad thing in and of itself, Adath flipped out.
Gah! Mine! He practically fell off of the ledge trying to take off.

Z'them quickly ducked under a tree branch, though he was already quite soaked from the sudden drenching of rain. "Wow, the weather sure doesn't follow any rules around here!" He said, making his voice heard above the pounding of the rain as he motioned for Raiden to come join him if she wished.
Lilith looked peacefully up at the sky. The only thing she moved was her neck so she could look up instead of out. Don't worry, Adath. It's just rain. No harm in rain. She said calmly. She was a Rain. Therefore it didn't phase her in the slightest. She actually liked rain a lot. And, sometimes, when flying during a rainstorm, she would even blend in.

Raiden, however, was scrabbling through her pockets, trying to find her canteen. Rainwater was generally a good, non-polluted source of water, unless the air was problematic. But by the time she had found the right pocket, the rain suddenly stopped. The girl pouted, soaked and disappointed.
But she will get sick! Adath protested, flailing.

Z'them watched curiously as she flailed around, only taking his eyes off her once the rain suddenly stopped when he glanced up at the sky. "Some rainstorm." He laughed. "What exactly were you looking for anyway?" He asked, coming to stand next to her, almost as soaked as she was.
Oh, but look, the rain has stopped. Lilith said, looking at the clouds wistfully, her own voice echoing the rain that had stopped a moment ago. The rainstorm had been to short for her and she was slightly disappointed it was over. But, knowing the weather around here, there would probably be another the next day or sometime soon.

Raiden shrugged. "Nothing, really," she said. Then she sneezed. SEE?! Oh, shush. "I guess that means it's time to go in," she said. "Adath is going to have heart failure if I don't." It wasn't a joke- that was meant quite literally.
