Mine does not speak of Mith's very often, though from what he has said, I am not sure that Mith's was ever happy, it may or may not have been true - it was just his rider's impression of the Weyrleader. Then again, the Bluerider didn't hold man people in high regard. J'din was too busy being drawn away from the conversation by flying water droplets to scold him for that. He had to continuously swat at the water that tried to drip into his eyes, finding that his hair was progressively getting wetter. Which he didn't like. His fingers ran through it, readjusting it back into place, only to be slightly displaced by more water. A glare was shot at the Bloodrose, though he doubted she'd care. Hearing Pandra's voice, he couldn't help but look over. He had to bite back his next impulse to laugh at how she looked. Of course, that was before he started to remember that wet clothes tended to cling to bodies. And then she put her hands on her hips and pouted in that way, the way J'din had always equated to the younger sibling he'd always wanted. Except that she certainly didn't look like a younger sibling. He blinked, and decided he had stared enough. The Bluerider looked away, finding that the ground was suddenly very fascinating. J'din didn't get out much. Salaronth had picked up on his thoughts, but didn't find them important enough to broadcast to the Weyr. Good thing for J'din. Ooh, yes, please! The Blue would take any help he could get.

Okay! Let's think of ideas! We could poke him! Or throw him into the water. Mine is always happy when she is in water. This comments was proven correct, by Pandra herself. She jumped out of the water, missed Dusth's tail, and fell back, causing a small wave to lap at the sides of the pool. Laughing, Pandra lay on her back, tossing pebbles she'd found on the bottom of the pond at Dusth's tail. She liked to toss pebbles at thing. First Gluttony -Who was attempting to eat a tree at the moment- had had stones tossed at him, and now Dusth. And Dusth didn't care! She was going to keep getting him wet, because it helped keep him n there here and now, and she vaguely understood that that was what Salaronth wanted.... She thought. She wasn't quite sure. This was one of the confusing things that baffled even the amazing Dusth. She wasn't that amazing. Except to herself. Had Panni heard J'din's thoughts, she would have gotten out of the water, sat next to him, and poked him. Until he gave up. She could be quite stubborn when it came to bothering people beyond measure. Or we could set Gluttony on him. This was said in a very bright cheerful voice.

Oooh, those are all good ideas! I can't choose betwen them, honest! Poking him always makes him do funn things, but throwing him in the water might also be very good! As an exceedingly happy dragon, Salaronth tended to talk exclusively in exclamatory sentences. Though sometimes he tried to tone it down. He just got excited very, very easily. J'din was finding that he had little patience for the annoying sting of water. He rubbed at his eye, starting to think maybe he should just get in the water and stay there. At least then it wouldn't matter if he got any more wet. And maybe that sharding Queen would stop flicking water at him. Salaronth twisted his head around to consider the little flitt gnawing at a tree. Oh my, he is certainly ferocious! No, no he wasn't you silly Blue. Quit using words because you like them. I think we should! It would be funny to see him chew on Mine! J'din flinched.

Very well! Gluttony shall chew on yours! This was going to be entertaining. Sadistic too, but mostly entertaining. The frost flitt was very fast, and liked to eat.... of course. The name tell you everything you need to know about this little guy. Very dangerous. Look out J'din. Mine, make Gluttony attack Salaronth's mine. We want to see if it shall cheer him up. Why do all dragons have a tendency to be evil, manipulating little -only in perspective of... say... a universe- creatures? That is one of the greatest questions in the world. It ranks up there with, Why am I here? and Is there really a place that won't charge tax on tax-free week? We shall never know. Why? Pandra felt like annoying her dragon. He's never done anything to me. She yelped when Dusth poked hers with her muzzle, forgetting for a moment to spray water everywhere. Because it will cheer him up. Doesn't he just look all sad and unloved sitting there? No one to play with? Dusth knew hers to well. Pandra tilted her head to one side, studying J'din for a moments, before shrugging, and slumping back into the water. It was cold when you got out. Sure. Gluttony, so say hello to J'din! She pointed to the boy. Oh, and mine says that people would have hung C'rin a long time ago, but they couldn't find a twisty enough rope. Dusth had reverted to a previous topic while the Frost figured out what Pandra wanted him to do.

J'din was not going to enjoy this. Not in the slightest. But that just meant that Salaronth would enjoy it more. All dragons had that sadistic streak, and the little happy Blue was no exception. So while the Blue squirmed in anticipation, his rider jerked his head up at Pandra's yelp. He'd thought something might be wrong, which would explain why his heart thudded a little faster. But...why did he care if something happened to her? He had to think a moment, but settled on an answer. Because if the Weyrleaders (or K'fe) found out that he could have prevented the Bloodroserider from getting hurt (or killed) and didn't...well, he'd be in trouble. And J'din was not fond of trouble. It was good that he couldn't hear the adjectives used to describe him, or else he might have considered starting that trouble he wasn't fond of. He blinked back at Pandra, realizing she was looking back at him now. Weird. He didn't like that. He looked away, so he missed the fact that he was pointed at. Oh, yes, a twisty rope is very important! Salaronth paused, then asked: Is C'rin too big for a not-twisty rope? J'din really didn't get out much, and when he did, he didn't bother to pay attention to the people around him. He preferred to avoid people. C'rin preferred to avoid people. So they had never really met.

It took Gluttony a little while to figure out exactly what Pandra had meant and what she wanted. To the flitt, these were two completely different things. Gluttony wasn't... the brightest creature to inhabit Pern. This might have bene a good thing in other circumstances, but now... as he had figured out both things, it wasn't. The little guy went whizzing -Ami likes that word- and whirring past Pandra to attack J'din's head. Pandra gave a snort of laughter, which she quickly hid by diving under the water again, and splashing around. Hopefully, J'din wouldn't have heard the noise because of Gluttony, but there is no such thing as a perfect world. The mere presence of Calth and K'lee show this. Oceane flew up to sit in a tree, so that she couldn't be blamed for what was happening. She was fretting about J'din though, and it showed. Drran was laughing, as only a green flitter could, and was rolling around on the ground, wings flapping desperately to keep her from falling into the water. Maybe it was because he is the Weyrleader, and it has to be a special type of rope that they cannot find? Dusth supplied in return to Salaronth's question about why the twisty-rope. Pandra got out a lot. She avoided C'rin and his moods however... AT ALL COSTS. She liked her head, thank you so very much.

The Bluerider's eyes shot open at the feeling of tiny claws in his hair. He yelped and flailed at the little Frost, trying to pry him off his head. Sure, he'd wanted a different hairstyle, but not this way. J'din struggled with Gluttony, and when he found he couldn't seem to get him off completely, he gave up and let his hands fall. The blood had started to drain out of his arms anyway. He winced and cringed, and then turned a deathly glare on Pandra. He hadn't heard her laugh, but he was smart enough to know that she would be amused by something like this. "Pandra?" he gritted, face twisted in annoyance and pain. "Mind calling this...thing off? I would appreciate it." J'din kept wincing, and suddenly started to pry the Frost off again. It was starting to hurt really bad. And then he had an idea. The Bluerider promptly stood and dove into the stream, hoping either the cold or the eventual lack of air would make Gluttony leave him alone. If he could hold his breath longer than a flitter. Oh! That is wonderful! Look, Dusth, Mine got into the water!
And it was probably for the best that Pandra avoided C'rin. He had been acting weird (compared to the rest of the time) since Teydrin had gone into foster care. He'd been eyeing the smaller girls like he wanted to...squish them. He wanted to be a father now, and couldn't keep visiting Bel as often as he wanted.

Pandra was floating a little way away from where J'din had jumped into the water. Gluttony let go at once, afraid of the sudden shock of the cold water. He flailed a bit, and then managed to make his way to the bank. He gave the water where J'din had vanished a look of hatred, and settled down to wait. As soon as J'din came out of the water, the flitt would attack. He had a reason of his own now! Give him a few minutes, he would forget completely. That was another good thing about Gluttony. "Your dragon told my dragon to tell me to do that," Pandra informed the air, not caring if J'din heard or not. He was underwater, so that was unlikely, unless he had come up by this time. "And I wouldn't leave the water if I was you. Nor for about fifteen minutes. Gluttony will attack you again. And he can be an evil little idiot when he needs to be." J'din had seen the flitts "I'm being nice but evil at the same time" side so far. He did not want to go for the "I'm going to be completely evil that your entire life is ruined because of it." side. Oh! He did! That is very good! See? We can make him happy! Yay for us! She wouldn't need to flick water at J'din anymore. Dusth withdrew her tail, curling around it to warm it up.

As soon as he felt the little Frost let go, he'd resurfaced and gasped for air. The cold had forced any reserves he'd had out of his lungs. His eyes found the flitter, eyes widening slightly at his glare. Keeping his gaze focused on the Frost, he listened to Pandra. At her warning - and probably a movement from the flitter - J'din ducked back under the water to prevent another attack. Salaronth... Yes, Mine? Why would you tell Dusth to tell Hers to have that...thing attack me? he sounded infinitely patient, though really he was trying not to get upset and make him lose his breath. Because I thought it would make you happy! And it worked! I'm not happy, Salaronth. I'm cold. You're not happy? Cold, J'din repeated, and the Blue sagged a bit.
He said he is not happy... the Blue moped, mood starting to swing.

Try tickling him with your tail when you get the chance. Pandramine falls over when I do that. Dusth tried, not enjoying the blues sadness. Dusth didn't like sadness. She liked to be evil, that was different, but sadness bothered her. It was probably the nature of her hatching that did it. So dramatic. Weee. "My head hurts, and I want to play. C'mere Drran." The green obliged, but grumpily.
