Name: Ardmore ← Nickname: Ardy
Age: Ardmore is seventeen turns… going on thirty two turns.
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Ardmore stands at an average height of five eleven, with his hair giving him a few more inches on top, so that he actually appears to be six one. This change in height is only noticeable at first glance, or far away.
His hair is a dark brown color, and cut short so that it sticks up everywhere. It rather looks like someone took a butchers knife to it and hacked it away while he was running away from them, scared for his life. His bangs are the longest part of his hair, which makes him look rather funny. The bangs help hide the single scar that he has on his forehead. It isn’t large, and the story behind it is not tragic, but funny.
His eyes are almond shaped and a hazel color, leaning much more towards brown than green. His eyebrows and eyelashes are thick, making him appear broody, although he is not. His lips are thin, while his neck is slightly larger than average, as are his ears. His frame is a little on the pudgy side (Big-boned. Don't get the wrong idea, he isn't obese by a long shot, he just has a little baby fat left at seventeen turns, that's all), although with hard work he can over-come this, and really has. He still has a tendency to eat a lot, however.
His feet are huge, making him very clumsy and accident-prone. He trips over very small things, and his own feet, on a regular basis, and you can almost set your clock by how frequently he falls. His skin is of an average tanning, as he spends most of his time outside and in the sun.
Personality: There are very few words that can actually describe Ardmore, although in this description it would appear not. He is a very laid-back, easy-going sort of person who enjoys taking his time to smell the roses. He is a procrastinator, never doing anything that can be put off until tomorrow, because if it can, why do it today? There are thing that have to be done today, so why waste his time with something that doesn’t? Those important things that simply must be done today include sleeping (He can sleep through anything. People dying? He’s asleep. Random alarm? He’s dead to the world. Terrible flash flood? You won’t find him helping.), eating, flirting, drinking and running around after small fluffy things and hugging them.
Ardmore loves small fluffy things, an obsession which is usually reserved for females. It might be wise to point out that his favorite colors are Pink and Purple. His favorite letter is P, followed closely by Q, because Q just rocks in his opinion. Did I mention he likes to eat?
Ardy is the type of person who will stand on his head for hours on end because he is bored (Although he could be doing other, more productive things, but where's the fun in that?) and wants to see what will happen. He also loves laughter, because it makes the world a very happy place to be.
He hates sadness, and people who moan and groan or act like tragic heroes really piss him off. Also, people who want attention because they have a very tragic past also get on his nerves and he is not above roughing them up a little bit because of their “pity me” attitudes. This is really the only thing that is strange or violent about him, and afterward he will always admit to being the one who started the fight and grumble the entire day afterward about the chores in a good-natured sort of way.
He’s comfortable in all sorts of company, and if love happens upon him, he admits to it in very outlandish sorts of ways. Sometimes his attention span can be shorter than average, but this doesn’t happen often. He also enjoys talking in strange voices for the amusement of other people.
History: Ardmore comes from a family of heardbeast breeders who are rather well off. Their beasts always sell well and are of good stock. He has one older brother and two younger sisters whom he always loves to play with and tickle. His older brother was a bit of a snob, so Ardmore always ignored him in a happy way.
Their mother is a very kind woman, and their father a mild-mannered man who loved his pipe and his family.
On their land, Ardy’s job was to tend to the heardbeasts and make sure they weren’t wondering off to get eaten or die in some random ravine somewhere. It wasn’t a terribly hard job, and left him a lot of free time, but it did teach him some things about the world. Not all of the things about the world, just some.
He still has to learn some of the things about life, such as how to handle marks without spending them all in a single go and so on.
In the ways of women, he can either be completely clueless and a total moron, or strangely understanding and compassionate. He has just come to the Weyr, hoping to impress a blue (because they’re sparkly and not to big), and if he does not… well, Ardmore can always go back to watching heardbeasts for the rest of his life with a huge grin on his face of a world at peace.
Pets: None. They all ran away from him. Probably because he would run at them with his arms wide open and yell that he wanted to hug them because they were so squishe!
-----
Name conjugation (males only): A’more
Dragon color Preference: A BLUE! Please. A blue would be so perfect for him! They’re also my favorite color. I love blues. Or a green. He would be so cute with a green. He would hug it, tickle and kiss its nose and be very feminine. Brown.... might be interesting. It's really what you want to give him though. Or something like a blue or a green, because he was originally a character for a canon site.
