The gloworms weren't especially bright as May made her way down from the higher Candidate barracks to the beastholds. She tripped twice as she walked, creating a new black smudge on her peasant attire. No matter, she had another skirt in her trunk. Her mind wandered else where, like perhaps the next Hatching, the first one she'd stand at, instead of resting at the molding smell of the cavern. It was an awfully long walk all the way down to the beastholds.
[I'll keep RPing with myself once a day until a hatching or someon cares to join me. ]

[Yep. I promised I would.]
Just when May was sure she couldn't stand the scents of mold any longer and the darkness seeping at the edges of the corridor, she began to hear the familiar sounds of restless animals and the scent of uncleaned stables. During this time of plague, they were being harshly neglected, it seemed. Her pace quickened as she thought of this. The tunnel grew lighter, and she placed the glow lamp on a ridge in the wall so she could pick it up on her way back. She finised her journey at a run and burst into the animal holds, her breath huffing.

[Again again!]
There didn't appear to even be anyone here working! All were tending the sick, being sick, or probably working in areas that were supposedly more important. May spotted a rake, and began to pull old dung from the hall floor that was giving off at least a part of the odor. She pulled it over to the next room, where there was a large hole and pile of other dung used for fertile farm soil provider. When she returned into the room, it wasn't even noticable. Placing the broom aside, she left the room briefly to grab a pail and fill it from one of the well-pools that had been set up for ease of use to give the animals drinks. After, she planned to rotate the animals in their stalls until she cleaned each one, not knowing if they were allowed out to pasture due to risk of being infected.

After sweeping out what she could and cleaning with a rag and the bucket of water many times dumped and refilled, the stalls were all reasonably clean. The air didn't reek so pungently anymore either, though the animals seemed restless. She filled the water and food troughs with the things she found in the backrooms that looked sutable enough. There was little more she could do, but she wasn't ready to leave yet.

((Finally finished my Candie!))
Oh, beasties. Tanevi knew the likes of them, they had helped pull the caravan. She did not know the girl....but she could prove to be interesting. More interesting than the rest of the Weyr which was lying around sick. It would be good if they got better, but right now it was rather boring. Which is to say Tanevi isn't totally heartless. The young lady approached May. "You. Do you need any help?" Before she could answer, Tanevi surveyed it again. "No, it looks done. No help needed. Unless there's soemthing else you think there should be done?"

Jumping up, smoothing her dirty skirts, May smiled. "Oh hello...Its okay I'm here then? I wasn't sure..." she mumbled. May looked around herself, taking in the slightly less stanky, less dirty, less noisy and more content stables. "Yeah, its a lot better then it was. I was just sitting with the animals, though I was thinking about heading up. Just in case I was missed. i would be overly surprised if someone /had/ missed me. I am just a lowly female candidate in the middle of a sick-stuck weyr."
