Name: Tristessa
Age: 19 Turns
Rank: Weyrling
Preference: Heterosexual
Appearance: Most women wish to be thin, but Tristessa wished to be the opposite- well, not quite. She'd just cursed with an absurdly thin frame that makes her seem anorexic, although those that know her know she is the least likely to get sick, and enjoys her meals very much. Neither is she an exercise maniac. As if to exaggerate her thinness and her apparent frailty, she has a very nice height at 5'9". (Thus, it is proven god(s) exist on Pern, if only to torture Tristessa.) The rest of her isn't as outrageous, and could be considered attractive. Her strawberry blonde hair is very long and 'fluffy'. Usually it's in a waist long braid, and maybe for extra elaborateness could be coiled on the head in some elegant, lady-like manner. The color of her hair nicely complements her murky green eyes, making them look more vivid than they truly are.
Personality: A well-versed, literate, and cultured woman, she knows what to say and what not to say; and, more importantly, when to do either. Through hard work, her etiquette has become immaculate, and in every situation Tristessa can be found to be a very polite person, even if a chair is threatened to be thrown at her face. She's a romantic soul, and has always dreamed of settling down into a marriage with a caring husband and eventually many children which could be either fostered or kept, although this idea has changed to a weyrmate with a rider now that she's arrived at the Weyr. However, growing up in a rather corrupt family has given her some sore traits. Tristessa can be very, very greedy and selfish. Not with living beings, like her adored Lemnia: she'd be perfectly fine if the Gem flew off a few days and spent them with someone else. But possessions? The lady could be likened to Gollum- her items are her precioussssssessssss. Touching/taking without permission would not result in a rage -she's too polite and well-trained to through hissy fits- but there are other ways of getting back that a lady can employ. Things such as rumors, gossip....all manners of subtleties. Things that would make her scream are runners. A bad experience as a child has held her in constant fear of them. Tristessa also severely dislikes beaches, since sand gets into everything and everywhere.
History: As a young child, Tristessa was fostered out to a Lord Holder and his Lady. She grew up in a very corrupt household, although she was loved and cared for. Other than the 'runner incident', it was fairly normal and nontraumatic.
She made it her business as she grew older to know everything that was going on. So when the Hold vs. Weyr incidents began happening, Tristessa frowned. It didn't all seem right.
Almost ironically, she was soon searched to the 'enemy', and has gladly gone to get the second view on a one-sided story.
