NOTE: This character is SHARED by Jeni and Avi, and may be roleplayed by both of them.
Name: Vintaph
Age: 21 Turns
Appearance: He's tall, being 6'1'' with dark blue eyes and black hair. Good-looks seem to run in his family and he definitely fits in for he is exceedingly handsome, although it's something he rather hates about himself at the moment. He is muscled and strong, yet still appears slim and a bit lanky. So, to the girls, he's one to look at and fawn over, but for the guys, he 's quite an intimidating figure, especially now that he's pretty much gone off the deep end.
Personality: He used to be a gentleman. Dashing, quiet, kind...a heartthrob to his many admirers. The loss of his dragon has changed him. Rather than going suicidal, he's become increasingly sadistic and hateful. Insanity could also be his middle name, although it doesn't show as obviously as his evident creepiness. Rarely does Vintaph listen to reason, and everything seems to annoy him, especially his siblings. Illyra is the worst for him, and often he would (as a child) form a grudging alliance against her with Jilath, although this was and still is few and far between. He is pessimistic and hardly ever looks to the bright side of things, to him there really is no bright side in the first place. Seeing the best in people is certainly not something he's good at, it's much easier for him to see the less attractive traits, especially if they have done something to get on his bad side. Which, is actually fairly easy to do. His temper is extremely short and he will go off at the smallest things. Fighting verbally or physically is something he's good at, which is not good for anyone around him at the time.
Vintaph's trust is hard to earn, and easy to break. Since the loss of his dragon, he finds it hard to trust anything anymore. To him, attachment is rather unnecessary and causes too much pain. Previously more of a flirt and having a very confident and somewhat egotistical personality, he is now cold and detached, and prefers to be by himself. Though that doesn't seem to be too hard since most people find him unnervingly creepy and insane, and tend to shy away and avoid him if possible.
History: Vintaph and his siblings grew up to a wealthy lord holder in the Northern Continent. The sibling rivalries ran rampant in their family. Sometimes, it got so out of hand that the three of them had to be forcibly separated. They just did NOT get along. Each personality clashed with the other and arguments barely ever stopped. They always found something to argue about, whether it was something important or something that was completely ridiculous to be arguing about. The importance didn't matter, only who was right. And each always thought themselves to be right. However, on the rare occasion, Vintaph would end up teaming up with Jilath against Illyra. For, as much as Vintaph didn't like his sisters, he had a bit more in common with Jilath. Though it wasn't much. He, like her, had no problem with violence and physical fighting. His main cause of annoyance from Illyra was just....well...she was an annoyance, wasn't she? When they weren't fighting, they were most likely apart from one another, and being taught various things. Their parents thought they should be educated, and the three of them absorbed the information quite easily.
Then Vintaph was searched by the weyr and went off to impress a dragon on his first standing. It was a happy time when he Impressed a handsome Storm named Tarioth, and it was rumored around the Weyr that although he was not a dragonrider long, he had a good shot at catching a fine Gold and her rider whom he shared affections with. Back home, the fighting between the sisters didn't stop, not in the slightest. It might have even amplified. When the massacre happened Vintaph's dragon was killed, and he has never been the same. The suicide of Moiraine from the death of her Gold only drove him further off the cliff of insanity. Jilath and Illyra immediately went to the weyr to support their brother, and the three of them came together in what has been the only time they have ever showed any caring or compassion to one another. They had their moment of sibling love. Now that things have returned to semi-normal, with the exception of Vintaph's sadistic nature, and the three of them are together at the weyr, the fighting between them hasn't completely stopped, but has at least become more civil. Though it's still quite normal to find them arguing. Old habits die hard.
