Eating for Two {Tags K'lian}

[Megami]

Nari was eating.
Actually, she was eating for two.
Not that anyone could tell, because she normally ate a heardbeast at every meal.
She needed to find K'lian, but right now, she was craving pickles...
and that chocolate stuff.
Fun.

[Nai-ru]

"Hey, Nari," K'lian said, dropping into a seat beside her. He glanced sideways, a fond look coming into his eyes at the sight of the girl he secretly thought of as his weyrmate, whether she knew it or not. "You all right? You look.... off." Yes, love- I DID NOT JUST SAY THAT WORD- had made K'lian perceptive. Be afraid.

[Megami]

"Hm?" Nari looked over at K'lian, whom she still thought of as a good friend, and smiled. She managed the smile even with a spoon upside down in her mouth.
The picture was very cute.
Incredibly so.
"Oh! K'lian! I was just coming to look for you! After I finished this, of course."
Don't even bother looking at the food.
It probably wasn't food.
"I needed to tell you something."
She didn't name what she needed to tell him, of course, but began eating again.

K'lian was pitiable, really- he just melted with the little smile, though frankly if you pointed that out he would burn you alive with the force of his stare alone.
"And?"

[Megami]

Nari finished the food quickly, eating as fast as she could.
She was hungry, shard it.
"Well, there's this little thing I've been meaning to talk to you about. You see..."
...
Yay for dramatic paused.
"I'm pregnant."

[Nai-ru]

It was at this point that K'lian had a heart attack.
Or maybe a stroke.
Or maybe his brain had just shut down.
Either way, there were pretty lights in front of his eyes and he fell over backwards, cracking his head on the floor as he did so. He then proceeded not to move.

[Megami]

"Um... K'lian?"
Poke.
Poke.
Poke.
This when on for some time.
Aya then settled on K'lian's chest, and dug his claws in.
The bone had a very inventive way to get people up and out.

[Nai-ru]

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..." This was in response to the 'are you okay' bit. Somehow, he managed to be both unconscious and speaking at the same time.

[Megami]

We are all so very proud of K'lian.
He can talk while in a coma.
Amazing.
"K'lian...?"
Why did their conversations always go this way?

[Nai-ru]

"I just died," K'lian informed her. "That's... really... great... though...?"
Why this was a question, no one was sure.

[Megami]

"Yes. It's great."
Unless you were the one who had to endure the labor.
There is a reason females have a higher pain tolerance threshold than males do.

[Nai-ru]

"Are you happy about it?" K'lian had to establish this before he decided whether or not he was happy about it. As is the case with any male anywhere, barring masochists who wish to be beaten to a pulp and thrown off a cliff, will establish the feelings of his mate before deciding upon his own.

[Megami]

"Yes! Of course I am!" Nari was bending over his face, making sure he hadn't broken anything.
Besides him brain.
That broke on a daily basis.

[Nai-ru]

"Then it's wonderful!" K'lian said, relieved. It was always so much more complicated when she wasn't happy, since if you agreed she'd think it was about her and get angry, and if you disagreed then you'd be disagreeding and she'd get angry.

[Megami]

Yay for hormonal women!
"Do you want up?" Nari suggested, holding out a hand to help K'lian off the floor.
People were staring.
It was a Weyr.
