L'rinmine, this is unpleasant. Let us leave so that you can feed your Uglerionth.
....what?
Leorin stared down at the Yellow sulking at his side, all curled and trying to huddle further down into the sand. He continued to stare for a long moment before shifting his foot over to nudge at the dragonet. Uglerionth shuffled away and stared at His remorsefully. Why would you do that, L'rinmine? Why would you try to kick me? the dragonet didn't sound terribly upset about it; rather his mindvoice was deadpan. L'rin stared some more and then crouched to stare into the Yellow's eyes.
"I wasn't trying to kick you," he said, his own voice as flat as the Yellow's. The dragon didn't seem too convinced. Then what were you trying to do? Uglerionth mourned the fact that his new rider had tried to kick him. L'rin didn't have an answer, as he hadn't really known what he'd been doing. He just knew he hadn't tried to kick him. The boy sighed and stood, glancing around for the exit. The Yellow picked himself up, shook off the sand and plodded towards it, already having picked it out. His was a little slow - if he'd gotten in here, shouldn't he know the way out? L'rin sighed again and followed the Yellow.
"That dragon is all together the most boring thing I have ever seen," C'rin mumbled, only to get whapped across the head by a big purple tail. He flailed at his dragon unhappily but settled down again to sulk. Maybe he should go speak to Theo. Or stare at her, since she wasn't entirely up to speaking. Maybe he could play with her like a doll. She would care...if she was awake.
Mine...
I know, I know. I should be more considerate...whatever.
