Leu's expression didn't change except for the smile and the cold chill in her eyes. It never changed except for those two things. She had no emotions. Besides evil delight and glee at her own actions. Maybe a few others lived deep inside her mind, but you wouldn't want to go there. You might never come back. And she would make sure that if you didn't, you didn't die. It would be worse than the last layer of hell. Leu would make sure of that. And if you did, you would be without a soul. Yay!

Beneath keened. Marinoth howled once and THEN keened.
Fia scowled. K'rion tried not to cry. Fia poked him. "Wimp." -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mahar looked sadly at the spot where the Spector had vanished. Poor little...
Then the Brown sat down by his feet.
M'har, your Tilanth is hungry.
OH GREAT FARANTH, HE'D IMPRESSED!
"Hungry? Yeah? Oh! Right! Okay, c'mon then." He nodded towards...
Food?
"Yes, Tilanth, food," he replied, smiling as the Brown stumbled along beside him.
Good, I'm starving, the hatchling confirmed, nodding.
"Uh, yeah.... you said that," M'har said, trying not to laugh.
Oh yeah.
"Yup!"

The next egg to hatch revealed a Frost. His hide glittered for a moment as he looked around at the male candidates. Seeming unsatisfied with them, he moved onto the females. As before, he gave them a dissatisfied look and moved on, beginning to walk away from the group of candidates, surprisingly, towards the stands. Leumine, if you wish to impress your Scath, you should be down on the sands. He told her with a slightly agitated twitch of his tail.
A female Hart also hatched, alongside an egg which rocked violently for a second, then burst open to reveal an excited female Stream, who immediately began buzzing around, seemingly trying to look at every candidate at once.

"I need not be, Scath. If you have chosen correctly, then there is no need for further introduction. Doesn't the dragon always know who's perfect for them?" She didn't move from the stands, but smiled evilly down at Scath, who didn't seem impressed, but replied. Fine. If you shall not, then I require food. Now. Leu, was, for once, happy to oblige, and vacated her seat in the stands to walk with Scath along the sands.

In a flurry of shells, four eggs hatched one after the other in rapid succession. If someone hadn't been paying close attention, they would have thought they all hatched at the same time. Shards of egg shells flew in every direction and, left standing in the middle of all the commotion was another Summer, an Autumn, a Winter, and another Spring. Each one looked at the other and, instead of going to find their bondeds, they started to play, much like the Darkness and Spring were still doing somewhere else on the Hatching Sands.

Kinche was late. Shards! Shards shards shards! Was it even possible to be late to a Hatching? He swallowed nervously and tugged the white robe with shaking hands, peeking into the Sands. Would be even be allowed to stand if he was late? His worry was lost in the fascination of...green and pink sparkly eggs? He blinked and slipped in, hiding behind a few other tall Candidates. It wasn't hard to find taller boys. Of course, now he was one of the only ones with a still-white robe, unspotted by Calth's little present. He peeked around the boy he was hiding behind, staring wide-eyed at the dragonets still on the Sands.
C'rin had made it on time, but was dozing in the very, very, very back of the Stands. Everyone else was there, too. Watching. Whee Hatching!

Upon Kinche's entrance, the first Summer to hatch immediately looked over at him. There you are K'chemine. He said pleasantly as he ambled over to where the boy stood. Will you now feed your Nedrith? He asked expectantly, relaying his hunger to K'che.

Hatching right after the Summer impressed, a Stone stumbled out of his egg. He looked down at the sands and gave a very quite little wail. It was so quite, yet it went out to all in the area so that everyone heard it before the poor creature went between.
Once the death keen died down, all of a sudden, two eggs that had been sitting next to each other hatched simultaneously. Each egg showered the other dragonette with small shards, catching their attention to each other. They were both very pretty Gems, and once they laid eyes on the other an immediate tension developed. The two would definately not be getting along anytime soon. Each haughty dragoness marched off in the opposite direction from the other, head held high.
Another egg cracked, and then paused. Slowly, the crack grew larger, and, finally, a small and very beautiful Violet rolled out of her egg. It took her no longer than a second to rush over and impress to Hers. Tristessamine! Your Haylath wants FOOD!

Oh, what? Already? Kinche tended to think in questions more than he did in actual sentences. This would probably end up confusing poor Nedrith.
What do you mean already? I hatched, you came in, and now we are together. That is all there is to it, the Summer tried to explain this, but the boy he'd chosen was gaping at him, still from behind the other Candidate. Who was starting to get annoyed, by the way.
"You can hear my thoughts?" Duh, K'che. Duh. Are we going to be chatting here all day, or will I be fed soon? If we're just going to be chatting, I'll stop talking. You can keep on, but then that boy might think you really are crazy for talking to yourself. "Oh! Yes, you did say you were hungry. Right. Uh, let's go?"
He really would have to stop that whole question thing some day. But for now, Nedrith was more than happy enough to ignore it. Until he was fed.

The dragon to hatch was a male Red, followed closely by a Coral. The Red, in his way past her, aggressively shoved her out of the way because she was standing in front of him. He barely looked back as he continued on, not caring about the Coral as she ran to Rin, complaining in her lovely soprano voice that the Red had hurt Her Inaoth.
The first Autumn dragoness that had hatched finally made up her mind and impressed to Aine, introducing herself in a gentle manner as Dynaleath.
A Brown hatched as well, and wasted no time in seeking the one he wanted. Niiclao became N'clao as Vorinth expressed his extreme hunger to the now Brown Weyrling.

Alaricka came in. She wasn't wearing her robe, as it would have taken to long to make sure that there were no spiders, spines ect. that might kill her. Yep. Alaricka. She stopped, panting, on the sands. And Ami's brain just shut down.

The Spring, that had up until now been rolling around with the Darkness, suddenly stopped and looked towards Alaricka. Alarickamine! Alarickamine! You are finally heeerrreeee!!! She exclaimed eagerly, running over to the girl, knocking her over in her excitment as she practically pounced into the girl's arms. Elyth is so HAPPY!!!
The Red made up his mind, seeming agitated by the dragons around him and wanting to leave. He gave the dragons one last almost scathing look, the Spring, Coral, and Stream especially, and then went to Limire. Limire, your Zhith wants to leave. Now.
Another egg hatched, and an Amber carefully stood and walked away from the shells. She looked around for a moment and then happily went over to Anali. Analimine, your Cerith would love to go get some food. She said, kindly nudging the girl in the direction of the meat.

Three more eggs chose that moment to hatch. The first was an Iron and the second was another Violet. The third was the second Queen egg that Death had been cautiously guarding. It cracked, slowly, and it seemed to take forever for the small Queen to finally hatch. When the shells fell away, a Rain was left standing. She looked around at the females, a pained look of her face. She wailed, a piercing sound full of sadness and sorrow, and then winked between.
